The former Governor of Plateau State, Joshua Chibi Dariye has been reportedly offered Senatorial ticket by the Labour Party LP for Plateau Central Senatorial District.
Recall truthlive.net reported that Dariye who was granted state pardon about two months ago, was able to breath the air of freedom only two days ago.
With this development, Dariye, who represented Plateau Central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly under the same LP between 2011 and 2015 before defecting to APC, will contend with Diket Plang of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Golkuna Gotom of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Dariye, immediately after he was released three days ago, in Abuja, said politics has become part of his life; hence he cannot abandon politics.
Many interest groups and individuals were worried that Dariye is granted a presidential pardon, but for almost two months was still in detention.
Lalong was full of commendation and appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for the pardon granted Dariye and former Governor Jolly Nyame of Taraba State.
