Morocco beat Nigeria on penalties to reach final of WAFCON 2022 for the first time in their history.
The Super Falcons took the lead with 10 players through an own goal after brilliant work on the right by Ajibade.
Morocco then fought back bravely and Mssoudy levelled after the Super Falcons’ keeper spilled a cross.
Ajibade would later see red for a terrible challenge, and Nigeria were on the ropes as Morocco mounted attacks after attacks albeit futile.
The Moroccans could be guilty for not capitalising against 9 players in front of a buoyant home crowd but fortune would smile on them in the penalty shoot-out after Onumonu missed her spot kick.
Morocco emerged 5-4 winners and shall face South Africa for the title on Saturday. It will be a first title for either of the teams as both have never lifted the silverware.
So painful Nigeria lost!
