MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv and GOtv, has been ordered by a court to revert to previous subscription prices after recent increases intended to offset inflation and currency devaluation were deemed unjustified.
Consequently, MultiChoice has reportedly lost over a million subscribers in Nigeria.
Truth Live News gathered that the revised subscription prices are as follows:
DStv Packages:
Premium: N29,500 (down from N37,000)
Compact+: N19,800 (down from N25,000)
Compact: N12,500 (down from N15,700)
Confam: N7,400 (down from N9,300)
Yanga: N4,200 (down from N5,100)
Padi: N2,950 (down from N3,600)
GOtv Packages:
Super+: N12,500 (down from N15,700)
Super: N7,600 (down from N9,600)
Max: N5,700
Joli: N3,950
Jinja: N2,700 (down from N3,300)
Revised prices for DStv and GOtv packages have been adjusted accordingly, though MultiChoice’s compliance with providing a free month’s subscription remains uncertain pending further legal challenges.
