In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has unveiled the assignments of key portfolios to the newly appointed ministers. Notably, Nyesom Wike has been named the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while Festus Keyamo takes on the role of Minister of Aviation. Other appointments include Adebayo Adelabu as Minister of Power, and Adegboyega Oyetola as Minister of Transportation.
Dele Alake has been designated as the Minister of Solid Minerals, and Mohammed Idris will serve as the Minister of Information. Meanwhile, Mohammed Badaru assumes the role of Minister of Defence, with Bello Mattawale as Minister of State for Defense. Wale Edun will hold the position of Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
Dave Umahi, former governor of Ebonyi state, has been entrusted with the Ministry of Works, and Ali Pate will coordinate Health and Social Welfare. Abubakar Kyari takes on the responsibilities of Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and Abubakar Mohmoh will oversee the Ministry of Youths.
The Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy will be led by Bosun, while Yusuf Tuga is set to serve as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Atiku Bagudu has been designated as Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, while Joseph Utsve takes charge of Water Resources and Sanitation.
Shuaibu Audu has been tasked with the development of the steel industry as the Minister of Steel Development, and Sabi Abdullahi as the Minister of State for Agriculture. Doris Anieete is appointed as the Minister of Trade and Investment, and Betta Edu will lead the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
John Eno has been chosen to head the Ministry of Sports, while Bunmi Tunji Ojo will oversee the newly established Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy. Notably, the Minister of Petroleum Resources is yet to be announced.
Simon Lalong takes on the role of Minister of Labor and Employment, and Zapahnnaih Gazzalo will handle Special Duties. Notably, President Bola Tinubu has appointed former governors Nyesome Wike and Dave Umahi as Ministers of FCT and Works, respectively.
