The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a bold step to address the lingering issue of anti-party activities within its ranks.
In a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Benin City, Truth Live News gathered that the State Working Committee (SWC) voted to expel three prominent members—Chief Dan Orbih, the National Vice Chairman (South-South), Rt. Hon. Phillip Shaibu, and Rt. Hon. Ogbeide Ihama from Ward 2, Oredo LGA—effective immediately for their involvement in anti-party activities.
According to sources close to the party, the decision was made after extensive deliberations and a thorough review of the actions of the affected members.
The party leadership had previously warned members against engaging in activities that could undermine the party’s unity and progress.
With this decision, the PDP in Edo State has sent a strong message that it will no longer tolerate any form of disloyalty or sabotage from within.
Ogie Vasco, the State Publicity Secretary, confirmed the development, stating that the party will soon release a comprehensive statement on the matter.
