Hon. Akombo Benedict, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Business, SME, and Microfinance, has submitted his resignation to the Executive Governor of Benue State. The letter, dated December 4, 2023, cites the pursuit of new opportunities aligned with long-term career goals as the primary reason for his immediate departure.

Truth Live News gathered that Hon. Benedict expressed his gratitude for the opportunities provided during his tenure and acknowledged the growth and development experienced. He mentioned his time working with the Governor from the campaign period, notably serving as the director of finance.

Hon. Benedict also extended well wishes for a successful tenure to the Governor and prayed for continued wisdom and ability to lead the state toward growth and development.

The resignation raises questions about the impact on the advisory team and the Governor’s administration. Hon. Benedict’s decision to move on signals a rift in the administration following other recent tussles between the clergy Governor and the APC structure in the state.
