Access Bank’s CEO, Herbert Wigwe, tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash along with five others in California, United States. The incident occurred as the chopper was en route to Las Vegas, crashing near the Nevada-California border city on Friday night, according to sources.
The US government has confirmed the fatalities of all on board. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe, born on August 15, 1966, in Ibadan, was the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, trading as Access Corporation, until his untimely demise.
Truth Live News gathered that he previously served as the Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank plc, one of Nigeria’s leading banking institutions, succeeding his business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, from January 2014 to April 2022.
