Breaking: US Embassy Raises Alarm Over Possible Terror Attacks In Abuja

The Embassy of the United States in Nigeria on Sunday urged the general public especially Abuja residents to be alert over planned terrorist attack in certain key areas of the federal capital territory (FCT).

This was disclosed in statement via the embassy’s website dated October 23, 2022.

According to the statement seen by Truthlive.net, there is an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja.

The statement mentioned some of the targets to include but not limited to “government buildings, places of worship, schools, markets, shopping malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, athletic gatherings, transport terminals, law enforcement facilities and international organisations.”

It cautioned the masses to “avoid non-essential travel or movement, stay alert, avoid crowded areas, review personal security plans and keep cellphones charged in case of emergency as well as carrying proper identity.”

Against this backdrop, the embassy said it will it will only offer reduced services until further notice.
