US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Nigeria for an official visit, with his plane landing at 4.40 pm local time, slightly delayed from the expected arrival time.

Welcomed by Senator George Akume and Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Blinken’s convoy swiftly proceeded to the Villa for a 6 pm appointment with President Bola Tinubu. Despite the delay, the visit proceeded as planned.

Following the meeting with President Tinubu, Antony Blinken is scheduled to address the media, highlighting the significance of the diplomatic discussions.

Subsequently, he will depart from Abuja at approximately 10 pm for Lagos, where he is set to engage with business owners and representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations.

Truth Live News can confirm that this visit to Nigeria is part of Blinken’s broader Africa tour, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and foster partnerships with African countries. Nigeria marks the third stop on this tour, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic ties with the African continent.

Antony Blinken’s itinerary extends beyond Nigeria, as he is expected to depart for Angola tomorrow night, continuing his efforts to build collaborative relationships across the African continent.
