Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has talked about his possible exit from the opposition People’s Democratic Party ahead of the 2023 general election., stating whichever party he joins he would still perform
Mr. Wike who spoke in parables in his comments emphasized that “leadership is not about party but about individuals”.
Wike made the statement today Tuesday while inaugurating the dualized Ogbunabali/Eastern Bypass road in Port Harcourt, in the company of the former governor of Sokoto state, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, his entourage, and other dignitaries were present.
Wike was quoted saying:
“Leadership is not about party but about individuals. Party is only a vehicle to actualize your ambition, to be able to tell your people that you have the capacity and qualities to render services to them. If you take me away from PDP today, I will still perform”
