As the presidential election draws closer with campaigns from all political parties currently flooding the nation, alot of activities are ongoing within parties and their stakeholders.
While the ‘Obidients’, supporters of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, make efforts to show off that they have the numbers, other political parties’ candidates like the All Progressive Congress APC and People’s Democratic Party PDP, are also making moves.
In one of their moves to assert their majority and acceptance by the Ndigbo community, an Igbo Town Hall Summit for the endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC, was held in Lagos, with a huge number of Igbos in attendance.
After the summit, the likes of Joe Igbokwe and Festus Keyamo, chieftains of the APC, posted on social media, lauding the Igbos for the endorsement of their candidate and also reiterated that they have the majority in Nigeria.
In a new twist of events, a private investigator, PI, on Twitter, with name 99% Oppressed, revealed that the 1000 members of the Ndigbo who attended the summit, were paid N4500 each, to attend. The investigator revealed the budget that was made for the summit and how most people at the gathering earned themselves refreshment at the event, as well as the “thanks for coming” that was given to them at the end.
Another Twitter user, @Precious540C, corroborated the PI’s revelation. The user also revealed that her father attended the summit and attested to the fact that they were paid N3000 for attending the event. She further wrote that she rebuffed her father for being petty and he promised never to attend such events.
The PI further threatened the APC that if they attempt to debunk his story, he would publish the names and phone numbers of those leaders who were involved, “starting with JOE IGBOKWE.”
