Catholic Priest Offers Free Education, Healthcare To Beneficiaries In Anambra, Imo

The Spiritual Director of Canaanland Adoration Counseling Center, Very Rev Fr Dr. Magnus Ebere, SDV, popularly known as E-dey Work in the southeast has announced the commencement of Free education to indigent Students at his Great Grace Juniorate Secondary Schools, Onicha Ezinihitte in Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

 

Addressing a multitude of his followers at his Counseling Center, Fr E-Dey Work announced the issuance of admission forms to students and explained that the admission was for all categories of intending students who desired to have quality, sound, and all-around spiritual and moral formation.

 

According to him, he wants to train a generation of special and highly disciplined students who will turn around not only Nigeria but society at large.

 

He also said that the free education will start from September this year for both old and new students of the school.

 

Fr Ebere, noting the challenges Nigerians are facing said that the free education tagged “feed your child and I train your child education” programme was set up to alleviate the increasing and excruciating hardship parents are facing in the country today.

 

“I observe that the way things are moving in the country at present, there will be massive out-of-school pupils and students very soon, if not adequately taken care of, ” He added.

 

He added that the program would not only be qualitative, but would also place more focus on the recipients’ overall moral, intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.

 

The priest has also disclosed plans to establish a free medical outreach program in Mbaise that would soon begin serving Nigerians from other states as well as Imo.

 

As part of his efforts to ensure the spiritual and physical well-being of Nigerians, he added that the hospital at Nnobi in the state of Anambra has fully begun providing free medical treatment for anyone regardless of the illness.
