Chelsea FC have confirmed that they will not release Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk to represent their countries at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Both players were expected to feature for Argentina and Ukraine, respectively, at the Olympics.
However, Chelsea have informed the countries that neither player is permitted to travel, as the Olympic Games are not a FIFA-sanctioned event, and clubs are not required to release players.
Truth Live News gathered that the club’s decision comes as a precautionary measure to avoid injuries and ensure a fully fit squad for the upcoming season.
However, Fernandez is expected to play for Argentina at the Copa America, while Mudryk will represent Ukraine at Euro 2024.
