President Bola Tinubu has reportedly asked a US judge to prevent him from incurring serious and irreparable harm by putting an emergency stop on a recent decision for the publication of his university records.

Recall that yesterday, Chicago State University was directed to deliver the records to Mr Abubakar. The continuing hearing tries to prevent the injunction from taking.

Reacting to the judgement, Mr Tinubu stated that if the September 6 judgement requiring the handover of his academic records to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar is not delayed for probable vacation, the damage he would suffer would be irreversible.

“Severe and irreparable harm will be done to Bola Tinubu if the records are released,” Tinubu’s counsel argued before Judge Nancy Maldonado of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago in an emergency appeal.

Tinubu’s lawyer noted during the court hearing, which began at 3.00pm via telephone conference, that if the data are leaked, harm will be done and they cannot be returned to the bottle.
