During the thanksgiving service of The African Church, Bethel Cathedral in Abuja, Archbishop Peter Ogunmuyiwa emphasized the crucial role of Christian politicians and public office holders in being a guiding light amidst darkness. He expressed that politics itself is not inherently bad, but it requires the presence of good and competent individuals in positions of authority.

The event garnered significant attendance from senators and politicians. Senator Godswill Akpabio, the President of the state, was represented by Senator Asoquo Ekpenyong, who conveyed a goodwill message on his behalf.

A prayer for blessings was offered by the CAN President, His Eminence, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, on behalf of all those seeking God’s mercy and elevation.

Tonye Cole, the APC Gubernatorial candidate for Rivers state, was also present and urged all Christian leaders to prioritize fairness, competence, and integrity in any roles they assume. The gathering served as a moment of joy, as Christian church leaders and public office holders came together in prayer and fellowship, embodying a true spirit of brotherhood.
