Cross River State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey had on Saturday joined the Yakurr Chapter of the APC faithful in celebrating Christmas.
A report by his Chief Press Secretary Fred Abua Esq. Indicates that the Deputy Governor was traveling to his home town in Ogoja LGA, northern Senatorial District and decided to stop at the newly opened APC Secretariat in Ugep, Yakurr LGA, Central Senatorial District, South South Nigeria to felicitate with them.
He thanked the party faithfuls for their support in the last election that saw him and his principal winners of the governor’s seat.
“Support your elected officials and all those who hold political offices,” he urged. As he described them as strategic to the future of Cross River State.
In a statement the Commissioner for Special Duties/Inter Governmental Affairs, Mr Oden Ewa, said that the importance of returning to one’s constituency cannot be overemphasized.
He thanked the Deputy Governor for honouring the constituency with his presence.
Information reaching Truth Live News gathered that the highlight of the event were a commendation by the Deputy Governor and a cash donation to the women and the party whom he said were very organized.
In company of Hon Odey were Hon. Cyril Omini, Member Representing Yakurr 1 in the State House of Assembly, State Vice Chairman (Central) of the Party, Hon. Abubakar Efoli, State Security Adviser, Major General Obono Okoi Ubi (Rtd) amongst others.
