Senior Special Adviser to Kwara State Governor on creative industries, comedian and former Navy officer, Abdulgafar Ahmed Abiola popularly known as Cute Abiola has taken time out to remember the period he was detained by the Nigerian Navy for violating their rules.
Recall that Truth Live News reported that Cute Abiola has resigned from the Nigerian Navy and has been appointed by the Governor of Kwara state Abdulrazaq Abdulraman as his aide on creative industries.
In a post on Facebook, Cute Abiola recalled that today marks one year he was disciplined by the Nigerian Navy for posting his photos while on uniform on social media. He acknowledged that the Navy were actually using the disciplinary measures to prepare him ahead of the position he currently occupies.
He shared few photos of himself in his office as the SSA to Kwara state governor and wrote:
“Today being 16th November 2022 makes it exactly one year I was arrested and detained by the Nigerian Navy for violating the Force Social Media Regulation, by posting my pictures on social media while on uniform.
“I recalled this voyage with longing memories and I agreed that the torments of those times were efforts by the Navy to prepare me for the numerous tasks ahead.
“Now, the lessons learnt and experience gathered are propelling me towards actualizing my dreams. It’s really a moment to remember.
“ONWARD TOGETHER.
Hon. Abdulgafar Ahmed Abiola
