An Abuja High court sitting in Maitama has granted Paul and his estranged wife, Anita Okoye, divorce.
According to the claims by Anita, she filed for divorce on the ground of cheating, fraud, separation, being an absent father and difficult experiences.
She further requested for a monthly settlement of $20,000 for the upkeep of their children and a number of her husband’s assets.
In her earlier divorce petition signed by her lawyers, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S. at an Abuja High court, Anita had earlier claimed that she contributed N10million as an agreement with her husband that she will be granted space at the mall he just completed at Lekki Phase 1, in Lagos.
However, Anita decided to withdraw the claim after she was unable to present sufficient proof to her claims in the petition.
Consequently, the court granted both parties joint custody of the three children, Andre, Nathan and Nadia, on October 20, 2022.
