In 2020, there was an outbreak of COVID-19 virus that claimed many lives in Nigeria and all around the globe. The virus came not only with all sorts of ailments and death, but also with hunger as many were out of their jobs, private and public sectors worked remotely from home because of the lock down.

In other to alleviate the sufferings of the masses, countries’ executives gave out palliatives to their patriots, these included foodstuffs, clothes, medications and others.

In Nigeria, provisions were made available for such palliatives to go round to the needy. Unfortunately, the governors of some states hoarded them in warehouses. These palliatives were kept till some went bad and inconsumable, while others were looted by residents who discovered the locations of these warehouses.

In a video which just surfaced online, another warehouse of palliatives have been discovered in Osun state under the leadership of governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The warehouse like others previously discovered, is packed up with food items which were not shared to residents of the state but hoarded away for no apparent reasons.

This disclosure has sparked reactions from Nigerians on social media who feel it is pure wickedness to keep things meant for the masses away from them, most especially when the items have expiration dates and may have expired since it’s been there for two years.
