The All Progressive Congress APC governorship candidate for Cross Rivers state, Prince Edet Otu, speaking through the Deputy Governorship candidate, Peter Odey, has explained the reasons why he did not attend the Cross River State NUJ’s Media parley saying that he was distracted by the the Court Cases.
Honorable Odey said, everyone here do know that they have been dragged in various courts, so they were distracted, that is why he was not here.
The Deputy Governorship candidate made the claim in his introductory remark at the 2022 NUJ’s Media Week tagged: ‘Governance Under Your Watch’ held at the State NUJ’s Centre in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State Nigeria.
Odey stated that, On his blueprint for Cross River State, his principal has asked him to say that he has the capacity to consolidate on the gains of the previous administrations.
He noted the issue of insecurity and promised he will reduce it to almost zero level whereby he will introduce community security where you make people responsible for their various crimes committed from their communities.
“Like everyone here do know that we have been dragged in various Courts so we were distracted, that is why he is not here.”
“On economy, we would industrialized the state industries by ensuring that industries take off, get working, employ indigenes, and bring in private sectors to invest in the state.”
The Ogoja born Citizen explained that on Agriculture, they have a blueprint that will help farmers, by providing stipends and supports that they need to take their production into the next level.as well as youths employment, with a blueprint called the ‘3Es’ which stands for Employment, Empowerment and Emancipation.
Meanwhile, The Cross River State chapter of the People Democratic Party’s (PDP) Governorship Candidate Senator Sandy Onor says the present administration has paid a blind eye against mountain of cabbage littering all over the state capital

Senator Onor made the assertion at the 2022 NUJ’s Media Week tagged: ‘Governance Under Your Watch’ held at the State NUJ’s Centre in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State Nigeria.
According to Onor, Cross River State is in the place that the citizens cannot be proud of. He said, the civil service has collapsed, yet the government cannot see adding that there is hopelessness in the state.
In his voice, he said, “enough of the momouring in our homes, enough of the gossips in backward places, we must come out openly and say no no no, there is a decay in our state, mountain of cabbage all over everywhere in the state and you are not concerned.”

The senator representing the people of central Cross River State said, he thinks he has reflected what his people want. “I think I reflect all of the things you want. Our problems are obvious even to the blinds.
“All you need is the right leader with the right exposure, with the right intellectual content, with proper collation of experience, commitment and love for the people.I think I reflect all of that,” he told the journalists.
