The anticipation for Friday’s Sportsville Special Recognition Award continues to grow as prominent figures confirm their attendance.
The latest addition to the guest list is the immediate past Sports Minister, Hon Sunday Dare.
Fresh off receiving the Service Award from Frontier Television in Abuja, Chief Dare confirmed his presence during a conversation with Adekunle Salami, the Chairman of the Organising Committee.
“Count me in to grace the occasion. I will not only attend, but I will be coming with a powerful delegation,” promised the man whose impactful tenure as Sports Minister has left a lasting impression in the sports community.
Dare’s confirmation has bolstered the number of expected guests for the event. As of this morning, over 100 guests have secured their seats for the award ceremony, set to take place at the Blessing Hall of EKO CLUB, Surulere.
In the midst of the excitement, nominee Mrs Hauwa Kulu-Akinyemi expressed her surprise and gratitude for being selected among the awardees. “It came as a pleasant surprise, and I kept wondering what I have done to deserve this honour. I am humbled by this and I want to thank the organisers for recognizing me among the top women administrators in Nigeria. This will definitely motivate me to achieve more in the years ahead,” remarked the soft-spoken administrator.
This year marks the 4th edition of the SV AWARDS, with over 20 individuals slated for recognition.
The event is scheduled for Friday, March 1st, 2024.
