Veteran journalist and politician Dele Momodu has made a bold claim, stating that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the only Nigerian politician who can challenge President Bola Tinubu.
According to Momodu, every other politician, including Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, lacks the courage to face Tinubu.
Momodu also predicted that Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, would be discarded by Tinubu once his usefulness to the administration was exhausted.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Momodu said, “Atiku is the only one today who is not afraid of Tinubu.
“Every other person cannot face him, including Mr. Peter Obi, who was used by Atiku in 2019.”
“Wike, I have no doubts, they will use him and dump him.”
Momodu further explained that his lack of support for President Tinubu, despite their past relationship, stems from his disagreement with Tinubu’s authoritarian approach to politics.
“Yes, he helped me in the past, but I have also done a lot for him.
“He’s a kindhearted and generous person, but when it comes to politics?.
“I cannot stand anything that suggests your word is law and no one dares challenge it,” Momodu said.
