Leader in the Team Asue/Ogbe Diaspora Campaign Group, Peter Uwaibi recently visited Prince Hon Emma Odigie, popularly known as Kadafi, a key political figure in Edo State. During the visit, Uwaibi condemned the “injurious and glaringly despicable misfeasance” by the Nigerian Police Force.
With the Edo gubernatorial election which is about 7days away, Uwaibi emphasized that members of the diaspora have returned home to actively participate in the political process, cast their votes, and raise awareness within their local communities. He further revealed that a news conference will be held soon to expose the perceived narcissism within the Nigerian Police Force.
There is a growing perception that the Nigerian Police is being manipulated to undermine democratic processes. Uwaibi asserted that the Edo electorate would firmly resist any such dictatorial attempts to interfere with their rights.
