The immediate past Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba has asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State chapter not to restrict the fatherly disposition of late Chief Anthony Anenih to those in the party alone, saying that he was a father to all irrespective of political affiliations.
He said this at the 5th Year Memorial Anniversary Lecture held in honour of the late Anenih in Benin City.
Agba said though he is of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he has had occasions of meeting with him while alive and he benefited from his wealth of experiences.
The former Minister added that the late Anenih did not discriminate against him as an APC member rather he treated him just as he would do to the PDP members.
He said limiting Anenih to PDP alone is not being fair to his person because he was more than that.
He called on his son, Anthony Anenih Jr. to indicate his interest to contest for the governorship position in the state in the forthcoming election in order to continue with the good work of his late father.
He said though himself is also contesting on the platform of the APC, it is not a bad idea if both of them contest, stressing that anybody that wins at the end, it is fine by him.
Responding to the call for him (Anenih Jr.) to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state in an interview, said he was not contesting for election adding that he will support anybody that his party will bring out.
