ECOBA Re-Elects Ex-Edo Governor As Global President

Edo College Old Boys Association (ECOBA), has re-elected former governor of Edo State, Chief Lucky Igbinedion as its global president.

The election also saw others returning unopposed except Mr. Nosa Iyekekpolor who has already served for two terms based on the association’s constitution.

Other Officials re-elected at the convention, were Engr. Greg Ogbeifun as 1st Vice President, Mr. Aigbe Olotu, 2nd Vice President, Sir. Geoffrey Anuta,
as Financial Secretary, Engr. Elvis Obaseki, Social Director among others.

In his acceptance speech at the National Convention and Annual General Meeting of the Edo College Old Boy’s Association (ECOBA), Benin City, Chief Igbinedion, assured that he would take the association to a greater level of success in the next two years, together with his executive members.

He commended members of ECOBA for the confidence reposed on them to serve and promised never to let them (ECOBA) down.

Igbinedion said their re-election will help them consolidated on their plans to uplifting the association.

Earlier, chairmen of various branches of the association took turn to present reports of achievements in their branch for the past two years, after report by the National Secretariat.

An Electoral Committee, headed by a past president of the association, Dr. Reuben Osahon was thereafter set up to conduct the election, which saw the re-election of the global president of the association, Chief Lucky Igbinedion and other exco members for another two years tenure.
