Truth Live News’ Deputy Editor, Toba Owojaiye was online on Saturday in an Exclusive Interview with Prince Ralph Odua, Secretary of the PDP Asue/Ogie Directorate of Diasporan Media and One of the Organisers of the Asue/Ogie New York Visit on the political developments in Edo State, spoke on the ongoing campaigns and their readiness for a town hall meeting with the PDP candidates in New York and two other US cities..

Excerpts from the interview below….

Truth Live News: Ralph Odua, as one of the key organizers for the upcoming visit of Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barrister Osarodion Ogie to New York on August 16, 2024, we are eager to hear your insights on a few topics.

What are the preparations for Asue’s visit to the USA?

Ralph Odua: The preparations are in top gear. We are thrilled and ready to welcome our next governor, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, and our next deputy governor, Barrister Osarodion Ogie. The anticipation is high as we look forward to engaging with them and addressing some critical questions during the New York Town Hall meeting on August 16, 2024.

What are the chances of Asue Ighodalo in the forthcoming off-season governorship elections in Edo State?

Ralph Odua: Asue Ighodalo is more than just a candidate; he represents the Edo project. We anticipate a landslide victory for Asue/Ogie. Asue is the only candidate actively engaging with the people of Edo, from students to market women and union leaders. His opponents are inactive and have nothing substantial to offer. The APC candidate, in particular, is depending on federal influence to claim the mandate of the Edo people unjustly, but we are confident that he won’t succeed.

Truth Live News: Any final thoughts?

Ralph Odua: We are on the brink of a new era, and Edo State should not be left behind. Leaders like Asue and Ogie, who possess both vision and intellect, are essential to propel us forward. The imminent rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all sectors demands that we have the brightest minds in governance. This is not a time for mediocrity. We need to eliminate unqualified individuals from positions of power and focus on our collective progress. Supporting Asue Ighodalo is crucial; he is our best option to lead us into the future and ensure Edo State becomes part of the 4th industrial revolution. Our personal interests, party affiliations, tribal biases, and selfish motives must be set aside for the greater good.

Truth Live News: Thank you, Ralph Odua, for sharing your thoughts with us. We look forward to the upcoming visit and wish you the best in your preparations.

Ralph Odua: Thank you.
