In the early hours of today, over 30 police officers stormed the residence of Prince (Engr) George Enabosi, the Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign in Esan North East Local Government Area, in a dramatic attempt to arrest him.
The raid, which occurred around midnight, was carried out in a commando-style operation, according to an eyewitness account provided to Truth Live News.
“They came in heavy numbers, but luckily, Engr. Enabosi was not at home at the time,” the anonymous source revealed. “When they couldn’t find him, they resorted to beating and threatening his security guards, demanding information on his whereabouts. Despite the pressure, the guards refused to cooperate.”
The incident has raised concerns within the PDP, especially as the party braces for what many expect to be a fiercely contested election in the coming days. A senior party official, addressing the incident, urged party members to remain vigilant and cautious. “This is a critical time for us as a party. We need to ensure we deliver the well-deserved victory. But we must stay alert; things could get more intense in the coming days.”
He further added, “Winning this election is the only way to prove our critics wrong. If they were truly backed by the so-called ‘Federal Might’ to announce prearranged results, they wouldn’t be acting this desperate to dismantle our campaign structure.”
