In a heartfelt letter addressed to Governor Obaseki, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), lauded the governor for his recent announcement to raise the minimum wage for workers in the state from 40,000 to 70,000 Naira.

In his statement made available to Truth Live News, the party chairman expressed gratitude on behalf of all PDP members, emphasizing the significance of the move in improving the welfare and well-being of the state’s workers, who are essential to its development.

The timing of the announcement, made during the commissioning of the ultra-modern Labour House named after Comrade Adams Oshiomole, was noted as particularly fitting, showcasing the government’s dedication to recognizing workers’ contributions and sacrifices.

The increase, in his view, is expected to positively impact thousands of workers and their families, enabling them to meet basic needs and enhance their standard of living. Dr. Aziegbemi praised Governor Obaseki’s leadership and vision for creating a more equitable and prosperous society, acknowledging his tireless efforts in this regard.

The letter concluded with a reaffirmation of gratitude for the governor’s unwavering support and commitment to worker welfare, expressing anticipation for continued leadership and innovative initiatives from the state government.
