In a concerning development, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reportedly been kidnapped, Truth Live News confirmed.
The incident occurred as on his way home from the government house.
According to a family member who disclosed the information to Truth Live News on Saturday morning, wishing to remain anonymous, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi’s car was double crossed by the gunmen on his way from the government house, the took him in their car and left the driver behind.
Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, a former member of the House of Representatives, is a prominent figure within the political landscape of Edo State and his sudden disappearance has sent shockwaves through the state’s political circles.
As of the time of compiling this report, neither the family nor the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has received any communication from the abductors regarding their demands or the condition of Dr. Tony Aziegbemi.
