The Edo State Police Command has carried out a sanitation exercise at Ibiwe in Oredo Local Government Area of the state and other selected communities as part of activities marking its celebration of the National Police Day.
Addressing Journalists during the exercise in Benin, the state Commissioner of Police, Betty Otimenyin, said the sanitation was in line with the approval of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egberokun.
She also listed other activities planned for the day to include, visits to schools, road walk and free medical outreach for residents.
According to her, the free medical treatment for residents include blood pressure check, blood sugar check, hepatitis B screening, HIV screening, and eye check, among others.
CP Otimenyin further called on residents of the state to encourage the police by joining in the celebration and all the activities lined up for the day.
