The operatives of the Edo State Police command have rescued three kidnapped victims in Igbanke, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the state command, SP, Chidi Nwabuzo disclosed this in Benin City.
He said the operatives of the command received the information that hoodlums have kidnapped three persons along Ibiri-Igbanke Road and swung into action and rescued them.
“The Divisional Police Officer of Igbanke, Edo State and his men on Wednesday 7th February, 2024 at about 1830hrs received credible information that hoodlums operating along Ibiri-Igbanke Road emerged from the bush and kidnapped three persons in the bush.
“Immediately, the Police Operatives from Igbanke Division mobilized to the scene and embarked on vigorous bush combing operations and rescued unhurt the victims, Aisivion Michael ‘M’, Edwin Bell ‘M’, and Happy Emiefele ‘M’.”, Nwabuzo said.
He said the Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye has given a matching order to all Divisional Police Officers and the tactical teams to go all out and smoke the criminal elements out of the state with emphasis to the principles of democratic policing with the fear of God.
