In a bid to usher in a new era of data-driven governance, the Edo State Government has embarked on a groundbreaking partnership with the esteemed National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), signaling a pivotal step towards establishing a robust bureau of statistics within the state’s administrative framework.

This partner with Edo state is fueled by the exceptional performance of Governor Godwin Obaseki in heralding a paperless administration.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, reveals a concerted and strategic move aimed at bolstering the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) computation capabilities.

Osilama Okuofu articulated the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing its pivotal role in fortifying the expertise of statisticians in Edo State. Permanent Secretary Mr. Iserhienrhien Efe lauded the proactive stance adopted by the state government and Commissioner Okuofu in prioritizing the establishment and operationalization of the bureau.
