Prince TM Ugbodaga, the Central Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Etsako Central Local Government Area (LGA), warmly welcomed hundreds of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP, affirming that the party’s umbrella was large enough to accommodate everyone on Monday.
During a brief gathering in Anegbette, Ward 9, Etsako Central LGA, Ugbodaga assured the new members that Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration prioritized inclusivity and fair distribution of development, making their decision to join the PDP timely and auspicious.
Welcoming the defectors into the party, Ugbodaga stated that their inclusion further strengthened the party’s unity and positioned it as an unbeatable force at the ward, local government, and state levels. He assured them of receiving all the benefits accorded to party members.
Ugbodaga emphasized that the state’s impressive infrastructural development was a testament to the solid foundation laid by the PDP leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Akubor Lucky and Abudu Fatimatu expressed admiration for the Central Leader’s peaceful demeanor and Governor Obaseki’s remarkable development initiatives, which motivated their decision to join the PDP under his guidance. They pledged unwavering support to ensure the success of the PDP in the upcoming September 21 Gubernatorial Election.
