In a dramatic turn of events today, Tuesday, the Faculty of Education orchestrated a stunning comeback, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to secure a 3-2 victory against the Faculty of Science, thus clinching the bronze award in the University of Ibadan inter-faculty competition.
The Education team, adorned in striking new jerseys sponsored by Truth Live News, found themselves trailing the Science team 2-0 at halftime.
However, they mounted an impressive resurgence in the second half, netting three goals in front of their enthusiastic supporters and the multitude of spectators who had gathered to cheer on their respective faculties and indulge in the thrilling atmosphere of UI sports.
The match, held at the Students’ Union main pitch, was characterized by an entertaining yet tense atmosphere, particularly as the Education team faced the consequences of their lackluster performance in the first half.
