The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kano State has arrested popular TikTok star Murja Ibrahim Kunya for allegedly mutilating and abusing the Naira.
The arrest was made due to Kunya’s act of spraying money at an event, which violates Nigerian law.
A source within the commission confirmed that Kunya is currently in EFCC custody.
This arrest is part of the EFCC’s intensified crackdown on individuals who engage in indiscriminate money spraying at events like parties and birthday celebrations.
Recently, the commission also arrested other TikTok influencers, including Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris, on similar charges.
Neither the EFCC nor Kunya’s legal representatives have issued an official statement regarding the matter.
