The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for the Esan Southeast/Esan Northeast federal constituency of Edo state, Sir Prince Lewis Osobase KSN, has congratulated the Muslim community in the constituency on the occasion of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
Sir Osobase used the occasion to call on them to harmoniously coexist with others as they celebrate the season. He reiterated that stability and growth will only come to the constituency through harmonious coexistence amongst the constituents.
Osobase who is a renowned philanthropist gave the advice in a statement signed by him and made available to Truthlive.net on Saturday while congratulating Muslims on the Sallah celebration.
He urged Muslims to always emulate the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed who was known for peace and tolerance. He further reminded Muslims of “the significance of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration which is characterized by selfless sacrifice, total commitment, and loyalty”.
He enjoined them to always consider the interest of Nigeria before any other affiliation. While encouraging the Muslim community, Osobase assured them that once elected in 2023 into the Federal House of Representatives, he will “ensure that the rights of every constituent in the two LGAs are valid and also promoted and preserve the freedom of worship and association in accordance to the constitution”.
The PDP Chieftain further prayed for peace and wisdom in solving the challenges currently facing the nation, especially the insecurity, and urged all Muslim faithful in the constituency to remain peaceful as they join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
He wished all Muslim faithful across the constituency, Edo state, and Nigeria in general, a happy Eld-el-Kabir celebration.
