Elections are conducted for the reason of picking leaders. Leaders are elected for the reason of serving the people through building and maintaining developmental infrastructure. Leaders serve the led.
Citizens and residents of Edo State who are eligible to vote will troop out on Saturday the 21st of September to elect a governor that will build on and maintain existing developmental infrastructure. They, the led, will elect a leader that will serve them. This election is about the people of Edo and their desire for enhanced development. It is not an election for the enthronement of a godfather.
Adams Oshiomhole has been strutting about like he owned Edo State. He could own his Etsako land with a combined voting population of 295,505. This leaves the rest of Edo State with a voting population of 2,295,098. This is more than enough to let Adams Oshiomhole know that we are not under his spell. Two local government areas of Edo South, Ikpoba Okha with a voter population of 400, 495 and Oredo with voting population of 357,371 both have more voters than all of Oshiomhole’s Etsako land with a voting population of 295,505. It is time we let Adams Oshiomhole know that he is not the Lord of the Manor. He has had his time of taking all juicy appointments in the present APC led federal government to the three Etsako local governments where he comes from. This is time to resoundingly tell Adams Oshiomhole that he can not decide for us, who becomes the next governor of Edo State.
Fellow Edolites and residents of Edo, let us teach the loudmouths among us some lessons. We know what we want. With Asue Ighodalo as governor, Edo State will witness more development.
We go shock you.
