Elon Musk, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, has sparked controversy by calling for the United States to exit the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the United Nations (UN).
Musk made the statement on his X social media platform, responding to a post that asserted the US should “Exit NATO now!”
Musk argued that it doesn’t make sense for America to pay for Europe’s defense.
Truth Live News reports that this is not the first time Musk has expressed this view; last week, he agreed with a conservative commentator’s suggestion that the US should leave both NATO and the UN.
