The Enugu State government has applauded the United Kingdom government for establishing a visa center within the state, making it easier for residents in the state, the South-East region, and the entire country to apply for visas.

In an official statement, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), recalled that the establishment of the visa center was a result of Governor Peter Mbah’s earlier request during the visit of UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, to the Government House in Enugu in June of this year.

The statement conveyed the government’s joy and satisfaction upon hearing about the visa center, emphasizing that it would further boost economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Enugu State and the United Kingdom.

It also expressed the state government’s anticipation of developing a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the UK, recognizing that the visa center plays a vital role in strengthening this bond.

Furthermore, the government encouraged residents, particularly those in the South-East, to take advantage of this opportunity to submit their visa applications within the state.

The government assured both residents and business visitors of improved security and reiterated its commitment to being more open for business and investment than ever before.
