Fulham continued their impressive run of form with a dominant 5-0 victory over West Ham United at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Five different players found the net for the Cottagers, solidifying their position in the top half of the Premier League table.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute through Raul Jimenez, who headed home a pinpoint cross from Willian. Fulham doubled their lead just nine minutes later, with Willian himself converting from close range after a scramble in the West Ham box. Tosin Adarabioyo then extended Fulham’s advantage before halftime, rising highest to nod home a corner from Harry Wilson.
The second half saw Fulham continue their dominance, with Wilson adding his name to the scoresheet in the 60th minute with a stunning long-range strike. Carlos Vinícius capped off the scoring in the 88th minute, tapping home from close range after a neat passing exchange.
West Ham were unable to find a response throughout the match, struggling to break down a resolute Fulham defense. The Hammers’ woes were compounded by yellow cards shown to Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell.
This victory sees Fulham climb to 10th in the Premier League table, just three points behind ninth-placed West Ham. Marco Silva, the Fulham manager, expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance: “We were very good today. We were aggressive, we were clinical, and we defended well. I’m very happy with the players.”
David Moyes, the West Ham manager, acknowledged his team’s shortcomings: “We were second best today. Fulham were excellent, and we were poor. We need to be much better if we want to achieve our goals this season.”
