Dejan Kulusevski’s spectacular late header gave Tottenham a point in a tense 3-3 draw at the Etihad, ending their run of defeats there.

Even though it appeared like Spurs had lost the game, Kulusevski’s header kept the score close. A few minutes prior, an error by Yves Bissouma had resulted in a goal by Jack Grealish that appeared to guarantee the home team’s victory.

Despite being severely injured, the visitors did not waver from Ange Postecoglou’s aggressive, front-foot strategy. Son Heung-min’s well-executed breakaway goal gave them the lead in the first half, but defensive issues quickly followed.

Despite missing several opportunities in the first half—Jeremy Doku, Julian Alvarez, and Erling Haaland blasting wide with the goal gaping—City led at the half. Two minutes after Son’s first goal, he scored an own goal to tie the score, and then City executed a brilliant play to put Phil Foden ahead.

Giovanni Lo Celso gave Tottenham a well-earned equalizer as they battled their way back into the contest in the second half. The game was paused for an earlier foul on Haaland, but there was disagreement during injury time when Grealish looked to be through on goal. The two late goals came next.
