What the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, thought was good outing at Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan north east in the aftermath of campaign rally over the weekend has been met with monumental criticism and lambasting.
Governor Obaseki who took his verified face Facebook page to celebrate what he regarded as a successful rally in Uromi suffered a barrages of attacks as 98% of the respondent poured all manner of scorn on the governor who many regarded as the worst governor and the underachieving governor in the state’s history.
First, the governor who could not identify the name of the primary school where the rally was held, received attacks for calling Okpujie primary school Uromi, Opoji primary.
Truth Live News can confirm that Opoji primary school is in Esan west, while the venue of this rally, Okpujie is in Uromi, Esan North east.
A responded said: “how will you know the name of the school when you have not made a single renovation in the school since you entered office in 2016”.
Another responded chided the governor for making promises to fix power and others in Esan when he has a year to leave office.
The respondent said, “campaign with projects not promises.”
Others followed, like Okhuegbe Unstopable G. Yaya: How will you know it is okpujie primary school not opoji ? When you have not Renovated not even a single primary school in Esanland, Electricity will be extended to Esanland soon, to promote and sustain the Educational System you have damaged in Esanland what happened to #CollegeOfEducationlgueben, Governor Godwin Obaseki You failed the good people of Esanland Igueben, in particular.
Another respondent, Ejaiye Godfrey said, “Esan land is for Peter Obi. We can’t be deceive. We will massively vote Peter Obi. Obi dent for life.”
From Julus ltepu, Obaseki got this response: “Good morning sir you remember you said lgbo should rule Nigeria on media that is the begining of you and Mr osholmole’s problem, say it now this is lgbo turn to rule Nigeria thank you we they watch you.”
Afebuameh Oluwatosin Aiyebelehin added: “A governor who has a little above one year in office shouldn’t be using promises at campaigns, he should be using completed projects in each community, and districts to campaign. What are the completed projects so far?”
