The Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, Hon. Benedicta Attoh, has warned those building on the council’s land to desist or risk their structure being demolished.
This stern warning is coming in less than two weeks in her office as the chairman of the council.
The Chairman stated this during an inspection tour of the facilities in the council premises where she also directed the HOD in charge of works to move out every condemned furniture and other unserviceable equipment that has littered the premises of the Secretariat.
Attoh further called on those currently laying foundations to build their property within the council premises to desist from it to avoid having their houses demolished when the demolition exercise commences adding that this message should serve as notice to whom it may concern.
According to her, the council has plans to build new structure and expand, but as it stands today, we may not be able to expand and the land is already occupied by illegal occupants.
The council boss has also scheduled another inspection tour where proper demarcation of the council land will be done.
