Former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Kabiru Adjoto has refuted rumours making the rounds of his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Speaking via his mobile phone, Prince Adjoto said that he actually met the immediate past governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North), House of Representatives member, Comrade Peter Akpatason (Akoko Edo) and other top members of the APC in Abuja for “some discussions.”
Despite the Abuja visit, he however, denied reports of his defection to the APC, insisting that when he makes a move, it will be in the open and not behind closed doors.
“I am still in PDP. It is true that I went to Abuja to see the Senator representing me in Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and other leaders of APC but I have not defected. If I defect, it will be in the open in Edo and not in a prob residence in Abuja”, Adjoto said.
