Former Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s proposed 2025 budget, describing it as a bold step towards addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
Speaking at the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Akure branch’s end-of-year dinner, which he sponsored, Adegoroye highlighted the budget’s significance, noting its N49.7 trillion projection—a significant increase from the 2024 approved budget of N28.8 trillion.
“The proposed budget reflects bold and ambitious plans for infrastructure and security development. President Tinubu’s assurances on improved security will boost investor confidence in Nigeria,” Adegoroye said.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain also called on legal practitioners to maintain professional ethics, integrity, and the fear of God in their practice.
During the event, Adegoroye officially launched the NBA Akure branch football team, which recently won a competition against the NBA Ikeja branch in Lagos. He pledged continued support for the team, including sponsoring and equipping them for future tournaments.
In recognition of his contributions, the team was renamed “Prince Adegoroye Babes” in his honor.
The dinner, attended by judges, former NBA chairmen, branch executives, friends, and family members of the former minister, marked a celebration of the branch’s achievements and highlighted Adegoroye’s dedication to the legal community.
Adegoroye also encouraged young lawyers to learn from experienced seniors, emphasizing the importance of mentorship in enriching their careers.
