Mutiu Kunle Okunola, Labour Party, LP, candidate for Ikeja Federal Constituency at the House of Reps, has revealed to Truth Live News in the hands of police and the court came from orchestrations by his opponent, Abiodun Falake, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Okunola, also called MKO, said his life is in danger from the hands of the lawmaker currently representing Ikeja at the National Assembly.
As learnt, a petition allegedly sponsored by Falake to the police had MKO arrested on allegations of possession of illegal firearms and training of members of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
In his defense, he said it was all campaign gimmick to get him out of the way.
“I am a farmer with 500 acres of land.
“I got a license for a gun for my farm from where they recorded a video of where I was testing the gun in the farm.
“So rather than say that the gun was being tested on the farm Faleke alleged that I was training IPOB in Lagos.
“Because matter is related to arms, they wanted to get a remand notice and have me detained until election is over.
“I went to police and they conducted search and they saw that what I had was a farm not a training ground.
” I was granted bail by court and the case adjourned till 13 of March,” he said in his defense.
“I have video clips of Faleke threatening my life.
“There has been anonymous threat letters too,” MKO said.
