EXCLUSIVE: PDP Guber Primary: Aziegbemi Spits fire, Hits at Party Decampees, Ready to Receive Aggrieved APC Members into PDP

The Chairman of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, has issued a strong warning to former party members who will be seeking to return to the party after a “nothing to show outing” and extended an invitation to disenchanted APC members.

Aziegbemi while speaking with Truth Live News in an exclusive interview drew a clear line between those welcomed back into the PDP fold and those deemed unwelcome.

Speaking emphatically, he stated, “For those members of our party that left us, arguing that they left because of disagreement within the party… No, we will not take them back into the PDP.” This assertion underscores the party’s stance on individuals who departed due to internal discord, signaling a reluctance to reconcile with recent defectors.

In contrast, Dr. Aziegbemi expressed a more favorable outlook towards discontented APC members, remarking, “Any decent human being cannot remain in that party… For those kind of people, our doors are open, we will take them.” This inclusive approach highlights the party’s willingness to embrace those disillusioned with the current state of affairs in the APC in the state.

However, Dr. Aziegbemi clarified the timeframe for potential returnees, stating firmly, “For those that left us a month ago, two months ago, three months ago, no, our doors are closed to those kind of people.” This delineation underscores the party’s discerning approach to reconciliation, with recent defectors not being entertained.

Aziegbemi’s statements reflect the Edo State PDP’s commitment to upholding its values while extending an olive branch to disillusioned individuals.

As the PDP party primaries knocks at the corner in Edo State party’s stance on membership demonstrates its dedication to maintaining integrity and fostering inclusivity within its ranks.
