As earlier exclusively reported of an impending meeting this week in Rivers State between, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike, Truthlive.net can authoritatively report that Mr. Obi arrived at Port Harcourt Monday night.
Our reliable source confirmed that other only two former governor friends of Gov Wike, Mr. Hassan Dankwambo and Donald Duke were allowed to be part of the meeting which also included the Governors of Abia and the Benue States, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Samuel Ortom respectively, as well as two national assemble member as well as a former minister of justice and attorney general of the federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke.
Though details of the meeting were not made known to us, our correspondent however gathered that it might not be unconnected with the 2023 presidential election and Peter Obi seeking for the support of the PDP strongman to succeed.
He said: “the meeting was held behind closed doors and it went into the wee hours of today because the Governor had earlier gone to the Odilis with his friends to celebrate with the former governor of our dear state who turned 74 yesterday.
“We had Governors from the PDP and former governors in the meeting from the north and south, they all meet with the Labour Party candidate, though I can`t say what was discussed, I can assure you that it was about 2023 Presidential and Obi seeking for support from Wike and his team”.
