The Hope of Glory Football Club preparation to represent Cross river state in the Preliminary Federation Cup is on top gear.

Speaking, the club’s chairman Apostle Dr. Joshua Umoh lamented government negligence to support sporting activities in the state.
The senior pastor of the hope of glory church international who made this known in an interview with the sports journalists in Calabar, said efforts to get government and top politicians involve have been proved abortive.
“We are in national division one. This is the second time we emerged as champion, the first one was four years ago. Our preparation for the nationwide division one is high, so we are going to meet the likes of Akwa United FC. Abia worrior FC among others.
“I wrote to the state government when we had to go represent the state.I have written several proposals to politicians asking for supports especially, from Arthur Jarvis, Lafarge Holcim, Senator representing C’River Southern Senatorial District Sen Gershom Bassey, but none was given any reply.”
According to him, “I am looking at us playing the NPFL. This season we will qualify for NPFL. I have a challenge that in our state here we do not have NPFL team.
