Finally, Police Promote Officer Who Rejected ₦864 Million Bribe

Francis Erhabor, a police officer who refused to accepte bribe, is now the Commander of the Quick Intervention Unit (QIU) of the Akwa-Ibom Police Headquarters in Uyo.

He was promoted to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) yesterday morning by the State Police Commissioner, CP O.A.

Durosinmi, months after apparently attempting to leave over non-promotion after turning down N864 million.

According to accounts, the officer, a chief superintendent of police (CSP), attempted to retire roughly two years ago after witnessing his subordinates regularly promoted to become his superiors while his position remain the same having joined the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) as a cadet inspector in 1990.
